The recent rumour mill has suggested that Malcolm Stewart will be on a Triumph 450cc in 2026, this was enhanced last week by Michael Lindsay on Vital MX.
“They have made an aggressive offer to Malcolm Stewart. What’s even more interesting with this, the talk that Rockstar might eventually follow Malcolm Stewart to Triumph Racing.” More ten minutes in below:
Now, with FXR, who sponsor the factory Triumph team in the States, having confirmed they have signed Stewart “for the rest of his career,” it seems to be a strong signal that the rumours are indeed true.
It would be a great move for Triumph to get such a high profile rider to launch their 450cc programme, Stewart came fourth in the 450cc supercross series this year and of course won his first 450cc supercross race, so he has experience to develop a bike and the pace to get good results, it also gives FXR a high profile guy in the premier class.
We will get to see Stewart in FXR from Pala onwards and maybe a Triumph at the end of the year. Let’s wait and see what transpires.
