Coming into the 2024 season, Liam Owens was able to secure a full time ride in Europe to race the EMX250 class with the Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna. Unfortunately, the season didn’t go how Owens would have hoped because injury cut his season short but he did show flashes of what he can do.
For the 2025 season, Owens will be back in Europe once again as he’s agreed to extend his stay with the Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna team.
Not only will Owens contest the EMX250 championship but he’ll also race the ADAC Youngsters Cup in Germany whcih is also a competitive series.
Owens will be motivated for the upcoming season and will be hoping to remain injury free to unlock his full potential.
The team made the following announcement on social media:
Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna is happy to announce the contract extension of Liam Owens for the 2025 season.
This year the young Australian rider already showed flashes of speed but his season got cut short because of injuries.
Liam is healthy and ready to put in the work for a good preseason.
So we are looking forward having a good year together.
